Join Chef Dennis Efthymiou at Luce, where culinary artistry meets contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, in celebration of Jacques Pépin. Luce will feature a menu inspired by Chef Pépin with proceeds benefiting the Foundation from 11/13 to 11/15, culminating with a very intimate dining experience on 11/15.
On Saturday, November 15, the celebration will culminate with an intimate ticketed 90/90 dinner inspired by the legacy and history of Jacques Pépin, featuring an exclusive tasting menu, beverage pairings, and unforgettable details that highlight locally-sourced ingredients, hosted in a private dining space. Chef Dennis will guide guests through the menu, including unique culinary touches that celebrate Jacques Pépin. Luce’s wine program, curated by Wine Director Isauro Zavala, has carried the prestige of the “Best of Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator Magazine for the last 15 years.

Chef de Cuisine, Luce Restaurant and Bistro 888
Chef Dennis Efthymiou is the Chef de Cuisine at Luce Restaurant and Bistro 888 in the Intercontinental San Francisco, where he oversees culinary development and operations. Born in Germany and raised in Greece, Chef Dennis graduated from the Culinary Institute of Athens, where he honed his foundational skills and passion for gastronomy.
His culinary journey includes prestigious tenures at several renowned establishments. He has worked at the 3 Michelin-starred The Fat Duck in London, Nopi Ottolenghi, the Michelin-starred Dabbous restaurant, and the 2023 World’s Best Restaurant, Central in Lima, Peru. Before joining Luce, Chef Efthymiou served as Head Chef at Wicked Jane in New York City, where his innovative approach to cuisine earned them a Michelin plate award in 5 months of operation through the pandemic. Chef Efthymiou was a finalist for the 2022 San Pellegrino Young Chef of the Year award in North America.
